Bees and other pollinators are vital to the reproduction of plants and conserving biodiversity. 90% of flowering plants depend on pollinators like bees to spread their seeds and reproduce, and over 35% of the world’s crop production is attributed to pollinators. And if that wasn’t enough, they also directly contribute to medicine, biofuels, cotton and linen, and construction materials. We simply cannot have a world with bees and other pollinators, but they are under threat because of invasive insects, pesticides, changes in land-use and monocropping. Global action is being taken to protect bees and pollinators. To learn more, visit our facebook page @fashionforconservation.
