World Malaria Day

Malaria is a devastating disease that impacts millions of people worldwide and is a predominate issue in Sub-Saharan Africa and parts of Asia. The World Malaria Report found that there were 212 million new cases and 429,000 malaria deaths in 2015. Part of Sustainability Goal 6: Water and Sanitation Unsanitary is to improve water quality, and since still bodies of water are breading grounds for malaria carrying mosquitoes, improving water sanitation could decrease the impacts of malaria.
